About this Foundation

The University of King’s College Foundation U.S., Inc. was created to foster awareness and provide financial support to University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, to support the educational programs and experiences of university students in its multitude of programs, at the full discretion of the Corporation’s independent board of directors.

King’s, a fully accredited, degree-granting University, is known for its vast array of academic programs and experiences, including but not limited to its Foundation Year Program (FYP), its interdisciplinary Honors Programs, its School of Journalism, Writing & Publishing and degree programs in Arts & Humanities, Science, and Music offered in association with Dalhousie University.

The Foundation is a registered public charity (IRC Section 501(c)(3)) under US law and was established as a corporation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Charitable Number—IRS ID#: 92-3736928.

Note: In most cases, King’s alumni and direct family of alumni can make donations to King’s directly (Under the Canada – United States Tax Convention). To make a gift directly to King’s, please visit ukings.ca/giving.

Donors should always consult their own financial and tax advisors about the appropriateness and validity of charitable contribution tax deductions in their jurisdiction for gifts made to the University of King’s College Foundation U.S., Inc. or to the University of King’s College.
